Amazed: The Finale
From palm branches to an empty tomb, we have made a whirlwind journey through the final chapters of Markโs Gospel. For the eight weeks after Easter, weโll unpack Jesusโ final week in Jerusalem and rediscover โJesus the Messiah, the Son of God. Begins Sunday, April 27.

NGL Refocus
Praise and Practice with the NextGen. Next Generation Leaders are planning their newest event! Come refocus, refresh and put new spiritual disciplines into practice which our NGL-ers have been learning and practicing within their discipleship group and want to share with the congregation. This will take place on Friday, April 11 at 6:30 PM at TJC Allison. Everyone is welcome!

Journey Kids Easter Generosity Project
Weโre filling care bags for participants at Harvest House and you can get involved. Fill your gift bag with the items on the list, and drop them off by April 13. Delivery will take place on Easter weekend. LIST: (for either men or women) Personal hygiene items, socks, underwear, food treats, $5 gift card (McDonalds or Tim Hortons), small New Testament.

City Wide Good Friday Services
This Good Friday, churches across our city are coming together as one to reflect on the sacrifice Jesus made for us. You are invited to join us at 9 AM or 11 AM at Tidal Church on April 18, 2025 for the City Wide Good Friday Services. Come as you are, and let’s experience this meaningful time together.

Men’s Breakfast
All men are invited for food, fun and friendship on Saturday, April 19 at 8:00 AM. Bring a friend and join us at TJC Riverview, 122 McClelan Ave.

Family Easter Morning
Family Easter Morning | Sunday, April 20 | 9:00 AM at TJC Allison | 10:00 AM at TJC Riverview
Join us for a special Easter celebration as we gather for a church family breakfast! During Journey Kids time, children will enjoy Easter-themed activities and receive a treat bag to take home. If you’d like to help with the breakfast, please contact Pastor Sarah.

Future Forward: Vision Saturday
Saturday, April 26 | 9:30 AM | TJC Allison Worship Centre | Join us as we gather to share the ways God has been speaking to us throughout our time of discernment. Weโve spent time in prayer and listening, and now itโs time to come together and hear what God has been revealing to each of us. Come with hearts open to worship, pray, and dream as we seek Godโs guidance for the next steps of The Journey Church.

The Journey Church Board Nominations
Itโs that time of year again when we are seeking nominations for new Board members. This year, we would love to add 2-3 new members to our Board. We encourage you to prayerfully consider individuals from our Allison and Riverview Campuses who may be a good fit.
If you are an active member of the church, you may submit nominations in the following ways:
– By signed letter
– By emailing your nomination to theboard@onthejourney.ca
– By submitting a nomination through our website [HERE]
As you think about who to nominate, here are some qualities to consider:
– Good character and a strong commitment to the mission of the Church
– Spiritual maturity, demonstrated by a deep walk with Jesus
– A caring heart for people and the ministry of The Journey Church
– Wisdom in decision-making
– The ability to think strategically and communicate effectively
Nominations will remain open until Sunday, April 27th. After that, the Board will review the nominations and begin the interview process in preparation for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, June 9th at 6:30 PM. Thank you for being part of this important process!

Coming In May
In May, Journey Kids will participate in a practice emergency evacuation drill. We will also make sure that all TJC serving teams are informed and prepared. If you’d like to review the plan, photocopies are available for you to check out!

Atlantic Baptist Women
ABW Annual Conference called interMISSION will happen May 23-25, 2025 at Crandall University, and all women and girls are invited. Music will be led by a worship team from The Journey Church. Special speaker will be Merritt Johnston, Executive Director, Baptist World Alliance Women. At the same time, Camp interMISSION will be happening for girls 9-12 and leaders-in-training ages 13-16. Register for both of these spirit-led, fun and inspirational events at atlanticbaptistwomen.ca before April 23 for a discount.
